CCCapture script

CCCapture is an Order/Payment capture system. It may be used to capture sensitive information, and to store it in an encrypted form*.

We wrote this system because we found that some website designers are, quite correctly, using a Secure Server (SSL) connection to allow site visitors to enter sensitive information*. However, the information is then either stored on the web server in an unencrypted state, or emailed in plain-text form to the webmaster. This is definitely not secure!

CCCapture has a number of features which are designed to protect this data and make it much more difficult for a hacker to gain access to it. Features include:

• encryption of the order data
• splitting important data (part emailed, part stored in an encrypted form)*
• splitting the encryption key (part static, part emailed)
• use of htaccess and htpasswd files to protect data and scripts
• online viewing of decrypted data using an SSL connection

We don't warrant that this is a secure system, but it is certainly far more secure than a simple form-to-email script.

CCCapture is not a shopping cart of ecommerce script. It is designed to be fed with, at minimum, an order description and a price. It is, however, highly configurable - contact us with your requirements and we'll tell you whether it will do the job for you.

CCCapture is installed as part of the standard Secure Form Hosting package. It can be installed for a fee on our 4 Star Hosting package. It comes with an electronic manual, but if you would like us to configure it for your need we can do that too. We quote on an individual basis, so please contact us with your requirements.

* IMPORTANT: We don't recommend that you use this software to capture credit card details. You must always check with your bank, or the organisation who provides your card processing services, before using this script for this purpose.
