Whether you need a basic web presence or a more complex, database-driven site, Goldseal can build it.

There has been a trend towards the 'ten pages for £250' method of web development. Goldseal does not work in this way, for the following reasons :

• Your Web Site is your shop window. A shoddy site will reflect badly on your company, and we don't believe we could produce a quality Site for this money.
  
  
• Web Sites are very rarely static - they grow and change over time. Indeed, they need to change and have fresh content to keep your visitors coming back.
  
  
• We have found that a 'finished' Site may look very different to the original concept - the design evolves as the Site grows.

Because of these factors, Goldseal operates in the following way :

• We meet with you, to discuss your requirements. If this is not practical because of location or convenience we can do everything by email - we're doing this very successfully at the moment with a client 400 miles away in Scotland.
  
  
• We analyse the material (words and graphics) you have available.
  
  
• We will advise you if we think this material needs improvement. If required we can produce the graphics and text you require.
  
  
• We will produce either a firm quote or an estimate of the development costs and timescales, depending on the information available at the time.
  
  
• During the development process we may make available a prototype for your inspection.
  
  
• We will give you regular progress reports. If the size of the project warrants it, we may meet with you to discuss changes and enhancements.

Our preferred option is to host the site ourselves. It makes sense all round :

• We know our own hosting packages very well - this reduces development time and cost.
  
  
• You deal with just one supplier for your site and hosting - one invoice, one phone number for support, and so on.
